Another Rock & Shock has come and gone, the 10th one to be exact. It was another good one with even more vendors this year. The one thing that was lacking was attendees in costume. There just wasn’t a lot of people in costume. Here are pictures from the event.

           Jason Mewes and Brian O’Halloran to Host Panel & Autograph Session at Rock & Shock Rock & Shock may be less than two weeks away but that doesn’t mean there aren’t still a few surprises in store! And speaking of stores, one of those surprises includes the addition of Clerks stars Jason Mewes and Brian O’Halloran to the convention’s long list of special guests! The actors will not only be signing autographs but will host a panel entitled “I’m Not Even Supposed to Be Here” on Saturday at Worcester’s newly renovated DCU Center. Mewes will also be joining actor/writer/director Kevin Smith on stage at the Worcester Palladium on the convention’s opening night, Friday, October 18. The twosome will bring their famed characters, Jay and Silent Bob, to Rock & Shock with a viewing of their new animated film – Jay and Silent Bob’s Super Groovy Cartoon Movie. Having brought the characters to life in several of Smith’s renowned films such as Clerks, Mallrats and Dogma, the legendary best buds from Jersey are back on the big screen to dispense weed and wisdom, this time in cartoon form. Audiences will have the opportunity to watch the new movie with its stars and then participate in rip-roaring Q&A and podcast recording afterwards. A special early screening of Smith’s Westboro Baptist Church-inspired horror flick Red State will precede the featured presentation. |
Also joining Ferrante and Simmons will be Robert Englund (Nightmare on Elm Street, Hatchet), Robert Patrick (Terminator 2: Judgment Day, The X-Files), The Walking Dead’s Michael Rooker and Scott Wilson and many more. Live performances include, Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes (Jay and Silent Bob’s Super Groovy Cartoon Movie and Podcast Q&A), Danzig with special guest Doyle and Twiztid.

Twiztid To Kick Off Fright Fest Tour at Rock & Shock 2013 With Special Guests Sid Haig & Hanna Hall
Twiztid will be kicking of their annual Fright Fest Tour as well as closing out Rock & Shock 2013 when they hit the Worcester Palladium stage on Sunday, October 20, 2013. As part of the three day convention, Twiztid will be performing live alongside special guests The R.O.C., Blaze Ya Dead Homie, Mad Child and Aqualeo. In addition to their performance, Twiztid will also be hosting a panel and special Sunday only autograph session with their tour mates, as well actors Sid Haig and Hanna Hall.
Sid Haig is best known to audiences as Captain Spaulding in Rob Zombie’s contemporary horror classics House of 1000 Corpses and The Devil’s Rejects. He will be joined by his Halloween co-star Hanna Hall who most recently appeared in Twiztid’s music video for their single The Deep End. Hall has also appeared in Text, Visible Scars, and Sophia Coppola’s The Virgin Suicides but will forever be known to movie audiences as Young Jenny in the seminal classic Forrest Gump, coining the phrase “Run Forrest, run!”
Rock & Shock, now in its 10th year is an annual convention that brings together monsters, music and mayhem for three days of frightening fun! On Friday, October 18, Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes will be bring their famed characters Jay and Silent Bob, to Rock & Shock with a viewing of their new animated film – Jay and Silent Bob’s Super Groovy Cartoon Movie. On Saturday, October 19, legendary rockers Danzig will continue celebrating the 25th anniversary of their 1988 debut album, Danzig, with a performance at Rock & Shock. Danzig’s former Misfits bandmate Doyle Wolfgang von Frankenstein will be joining him as well as special guests Otep, Butcher Babies, Texas Hippie Coalition, Stolen Babies, New Years Day and A Pale Horse Named Death.
Sunday, October 20, the convention wraps up when the terrifying twosome Twiztid take the stage alongside Blaze, Madchild and Aqualeo. Bringing along their patented brand of sinister, painted faces and wicked lyrics, the horror-core rap group will wrap up this year’s festivities with what is guaranteed to be an unforgettable performance.
